Russ Mills aka Byroglyphics, graduated from Leeds Met University in the UK in 1995 with a BA in Graphic Art and Design, specializing in Experimental Film and Animation. He would spend the next 20 years crafting and honing his skills working as a freelance illustrator with clients such as PlayStation Magazine and The Royal Court Theater. However, his true skill-set shines through his more personal work, which spans over the course of 14 group and solo shows. Displaying his current collision of styles between classical and pop surrealism; spotlighting the human form intermixed with abstracting elements from nature and the animal kingdom. The convergence of styles and subjects meant as a narrative on superficiality, isolation, and sociopolitical expressions.
